Volker have sought to block the construction or hasten the removal of poorly sited and polluting power plants, both in administrative proceedings before the California Energy Commission (CEC), the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), and local air quality management districts, and through appeals of their decisions to the California courts.


We have also participated in related appeals to the U.S. E.P.A.’s Environmental Appeal Board (EAB) and the Ninth Circuit federal Court of Appeals.
